Seafood Expo Global 2019 was held in Brussels May 7 -9. This is the world’s largest seafood trade fair. The trade fair was an opportunity for a meeting between Mr Kristján Þór Júlíusson - the Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture of Iceland and Mr Marek Gróbarczyk - the Minister of maritime Economy and Inland Navigation of Poland.
The Honorary Consulate of Iceland took an honorary patronage over Gdańsk Book Fair 2019. Gdansk Book Fair’s second edition will be taking place from 29th to 31st of 2019.
North Atlantic Producers Organization Ltd. in cooperation with the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk and the University of Akureyri School of Business and Science in Iceland undertook the organization of a scholarship contest, which aim is to support Polish students willing to study at the University of Akureyri under the Erasmus Scholarship Program. The event inaugurating the PISCES competition took place on November 7, 2018 at the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk.
Honorary Consul of Iceland in Warsaw Mr Bogusław Szemioth had the honour to participate in official visit of the Speaker of Polish Senate Mr Stanisław Karczewski to Iceland.
The Speaker of Polish Senate with delegation paid the visit to Iceland on 12-14 October 2018.
The main point of visit was the celebration of the tenth anniversary of Polish School in Reykjavik named after Janusz Korczak and the meeting with the President of the Iceland Parliament.
