On 14-15 of January in Warsaw took place the visit of Mr. Gunnar Snorri Gunnarsson, Iceland's Ambassador in Poland. During this visit the Ambassador met with the Minister of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation, Mr. Marek Gróbarczyk.
The subject of both meetings was the development of bilateral cooperation between Poland and Iceland, mainly in the area of maritime economy. They were talking about fishery, popularize fish consumption and trade and experience of both countries in this field. Also raised about the Polish shipyards and their using in the field of manufacturing and repairing by Icelandic companies. The Ambassador also expressed interesting in Polish natural resources including quartz, and also invited the Minister Marek Gróbarczyk to Iceland in order to sign a letter of intent for mutual cooperation.
